Kinecx Energy is celebrating after being recognised with two prestigious workplace awards that underscore its dedication to fostering an authentic, supportive and high-performing culture.
The company (formerly firmus energy networks) is one of the first businesses in Northern Ireland to be recognised as a Verified Vibrant Workplace.
The milestone was achieved following participation in a cultural optimisation programme that is specifically designed to enhance workplace culture and support companies in becoming standout employers.
The programme’s data demonstrated strong outcomes for Kinecx Energy, including an Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) of 55.9, which is rated as an ‘excellent’ measure of how likely employees would recommend their workplace to others.
In one particular testimonial, a member of staff said “I don’t see myself leaving the company any time soon. It is quite possibly the best company I have ever worked for.”
“People really are our most important asset,” explained Niall Martindale. “We work hard to maintain our physical network, so we must work just as hard to maintain and develop our staff. We are very proud of our culture at Kinecx Energy. We believe every employee has the opportunity to be the best they can be, and in doing so, continue to deliver operational excellence for our customers and commercial success for our organisation. The recognition provided by our accreditations is great, however, their true value resides in the opportunities they present for continuous improvement. I believe our dedication to continuous improvement is what sets up apart from others.”
Craig Thompson, Director at Vibrant Talent, praised the achievement, and underlined its significance: “Doing better business is a commitment to people, business and society.
“Not every organisation achieves Vibrant Workplace Verification – it is a true test that is measured over a meaningful period to give jobseekers real confidence. Kinecx Energy has proven its deep commitment to their workforce and in turn to their customers,” he added.
In a further sign of Kinecx Energy having a strong, people-centric culture, it has retained its ‘We Invest in People Gold’ accreditation from Investors in People (IIP). Currently held by just 30% of the IIP community, Gold status reflects a resilient and values-driven culture that is rooted in trust, collaboration, and continuous development.
