Over £10,500 raised by Kinecx Energy for Community Rescue Service

Community Rescue Service’s life-saving operations have been assisted by a five-figure donation from the Antrim-based gas network operator, Kinecx Energy.

A series of co-ordinated events were organised throughout the course of last year by staff, with these raising a grand total of £10,536 or the local charity.

The total amount includes a match-funding contribution from the business, underscoring it’s commitment to giving back to those areas in which it operates.

The money will directly support CRS in it’s mission to reunite vulnerable missing people with their loved ones, and the delivery of a wide range of critical services, including suicide prevention initiatives and safety patrols in local towns and cities.

Since being founded by Sean McCarry OBE, CRS has become an integral part of the province’s emergency response network, and as a member of the Association of Lowland Search and Rescue, it is the only accredited Lowland Rescue partner locally, operating six units across six counties and 11 council areas all year round.

CRS was announced as Kinecx Energy’s Charity of the Year (2025) following a staff vote; since then, colleagues have rallied together to support the important cause, organising sponsored workplace fundraising events, including an abseil down the famous Ramore Head in Portrush last Spring, as well as 2 relay teams in the Belfast Marathon in May.
